When you feel like having something sweet and salty on your Navratri fasts vrat or upvaas, you can prepare Singhara Atta Pakoda or Kuttu Atta Pakoda.
These deep fried pakoras or fritters are made with kuttu ka atta and potatoes. Singhara (Singhada) Atta ke Pakoras are easy to make and taste delicious. For Kuttu atta ki Pakori, you can use Kuttu ka atta instead of Singhare (Singhada) ka atta.
Ingredients
- Singhada Atta / Kuttu Atta - 200 grams
- Potatoes - 200 grams
- Sendha Salt - As per taste
- Black pepper - ½ Tsp
- Red Chilli Powder - ¼ Tsp (Optional)
- Green Chilli - 1 (finely chopped)
- Water - ¾ Cup

Step by step Recipes
Instructions for Singhada / Kuttu Ataa Pakoda Recipe
- To prepare a mix for Pakoda, Take Atta in a utensil and beat well.
- Now add Sendha salt, black pepper, Red chilli powder, green chilli and mix well.
- Peel, wash potatoes then cut them into thin pieces.
- Heat Ghee/oil in a pan/wok.
- Mix cut potatoes in Singhara Atta and put the potatoes wrapped in the mixture into hot Ghee/oil with a spoon or hand.
- Put 10-12 Pakodas in the pan in one go. Turn over the sides of the potatoes and fry till they turn brown.
- Take out the fried potatoes on a plate.
- Prepare all of the Pakodas in this same manner.
- Singhara Ataa Pakoda is ready to be served. Serve Singhada / Kuttu Ataa Pakora with coriander churney or Tamarind (Imli) Chutney on your Navratri fast, fast or upvaas day.
