Ingredients for bread dahi vada :

  • Bread slice - 6
  • Yogurt (dahi)  - 1 cup (thick chilled curd)
  • tamarind chutney (meethi saunth) – 3 tbsp (click here for tamarind chutney recipe)
  • Cashews (kaju) - 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Raisins (kishmish) - 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • almonds (Badam) - 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • fresh coriander (hara dhaniya) - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Chili powder - ¾ tsp
  • Roasted cumin seeds powder (bhuna jeera) - ¾ tsp
  • Black salt (kala namak) - ¼ tsp
  • Salt - as per taste


Directions for bread dahi vada :

  • Chop the cashews, almonds and keep aside.
  • Take chilled yogurt in a bowl and whisk well until it become smooth.
  • Now add black salt into yogurt and mix well.
  • Take bread and cut it into circles with a sharp bowl, lid or any mould.
