Ingredients for Paneer Bhurji Recipe
- Cottage Cheese / Paneer - 250 grams crumbled
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tbsp
- Jeera/Cumin Seeds - ½ tsp
- Hing/Asafoetida - ¼ tsp
- Onion - 1 medium (chopped)
- Green Chilli - 1-2 (chopped)
- Ginger - 1 inch (chopped or grated)
- Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
- Tomatoes - 1 medium de-seeded & chopped
- Capsicum - 1 (chopped)
- Coriander Powder - ½ tsp
- Garam Masala/Pav bhaji masala - ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
- Red chili powder - ¼ tsp
- Salt - as per taste
- Coriander/cilantro - 2 tbsp chopped

Step by Step Recipe with Photos
How to make Paneer Bhurji Recipe | Masala Paneer Bhurji Recipe with Step by Step Photos :
- Take a bowl. Crumble the Cottage cheese/paneer and set it aside.
- Now finely chop all vegetables: onion, green capsicum, red capsicum, tomato, green chili, ginger. keep them aside.
- Take a nonstick pan and add oil.
- When the oil gets hot, add the hing, cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- Now add chopped onions, saute well till they turn slightly golden brown.
- Now add garlic paste and saute well.
- Now add chopped tomatoes and saute till they turn soft and mushy.
- Add chopped green chili and ginger. Saute well.
- Now add ¼ tsp red chili powder, ¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp coriander powder.
- Roast the spices for a minute on low flame.
- After that add finely chopped capsicum. Cook them till they get soft.
- Furthermore add cottage cheese / crumbled paneer, salt and mix gently.
- Now add ½ tsp pav bhaji masala / garam masala in Paneer Bhurji Sabzi and mix well.
- Cover and simmer masala paneer bhurji for 2-3 minutes till the paneer gets cooked well. Do not overcook paneer bhurji, as paneer turns hard and chewy.
- Also, add finely chopped coriander.
- Mix gently, making sure everything is combined well.
- Finally, Paneer Bhurji is ready. Serve Masala Paneer Bhurji hot with Chapati or Paratha or any Indian Bread.
